Kadu

Kadu gives you the possibility of chatting with people over different protocols. You can chat over Gadu-Gadu, Jabber or XMPP and others, from one application. It is available for various operating systems, including Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. Furthermore, it is distributed as a free and open source application and you can have it up and running in no time.

Kadu's user interface is laid out like that of most instant messengers. It displays contacts in a list and you can organize them into groups, which can be accessed on different tabs, on the left side of the window. New contacts can be added by making a series of specifications on a separate window. Besides adding contacts normally, you can also add only their phone numbers or email addresses.

The application's main feature is the possibility of chatting over different protocols. You may configure Facebook, Gadu-Gadu, Google Talk and Jabber/XMPP accounts on a separate window. All you have to do is choose an account type and specify your login credentials and you can make a few optional specifications as well.

Instead of using multiple application for each instant messaging protocol, you can simply use Kadu for all of them.
